Biography: Mrs. Shakeeta Torres is a Fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker that provides services to individuals, families, and couples of any race, culture, and background. She graduated with honors with a Master of Social Work Degree from The University of North Carolina of Pembroke in 2011 and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2006. She has been serving many communities as a Social Worker since 2007 with experience ranging in Hospice Care, Elderly Care, Child Protective Services, and Mental Health. In addition, Mrs. Torres is also an Inspirational Speaker, Educator, Life Coach, and Writer. Her personal life experiences, education, training, faith, and spiritual beliefs has equipped her to “EmPower-You-2Shift” past broken, and assist you on a journey to healing. Mrs. Torres is an Ambassador of Shared Hope at Shared Hope International and has hosted and provided Psychoeducation on Human Trafficking at various locations within the community. Mrs. Torres has participated in speaking engagements encouraging and inspiring others to live on purpose and educating them about the importance of taking care of your mental health. Topics she has covered topics related to but limited to Grief, Anxiety, Depression, Human trafficking, women’s Empowerment, Mental Health and Faith.
