What personal challenges have you overcome or are working through as a result of your upbringing?
I grew up in a single parent home with a younger brother. My father is a pimp and this impacted our relationship, as well as my self-esteem as a child. My mother worked very hard to care for my brother and me without any assistance from my father because she didn't want us around his lifestyle. I have been working since I was 14, which has allowed me to learn a great deal about people, social interactions, and the need to heal.
What inspired you to become a therapist?
I decided to become a therapist because I grew up seeing people who struggled with understanding the trauma that they had experienced which impacted their abilities to build healthy relationships. I chose to get into this line of work in order to help people heal.
What are your specialties?
